RVL Group is proud to announce that it has been selected to provide a range of aerial services to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for a further period of at least 8 years.

RVL Group has been appointed by Wings 24 to operate a nightly cargo flight from East Midlands to Dublin.

Astrium, part of the EADS group of companies, has contracted RVL Group to undertake a major modification project to acquire EASA approvals and then to manufacture and install removable radomes for use on our Cessna 404 and 406 fleets for use in extensive aerial radar trials over the coming years.

RVL Group is proud to announce that the Geomatics Group (part of the Environment Agency) has opted to extend its current contract with RVL Group through to the end of 2013.

Yet again, RVL Group aircraft are busy in Scandinavia. This year, we've already been to Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway once. Now, we're back in Norway for a couple of weeks work in our Britten Norman Islander aircraft G-BCEN.

For the past few days, RVL Group aircraft on longterm contract to the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and Oil Spill Response (OSR) have been monitoring the oil spill off the Gannet Alpha oil platform in the North Sea.

Building of RVL Group's new office and hangar facility at East Midlands Airport has reached another important milestone.

Restoration of the two storey office block - which will eventually house Ordnance Survey, Blom Aerofilms and the Environment Agency as well as our own staff - is almost complete, with the decorators now putting the final touches to the accommodation in preparation for handover to us next week.

Outside, our new carpark is complete and the huge team of builders and equipment have moved onto construction of the brand new hangar complex. The first lorry load of steelwork will arrive on site on 4 July, with the whole skeleton of the hangar being due for completion two weeks later. By the autumn, RVL Group's entire operation will be housed in a modern, state of the art facility allowing us plenty of scope for growth and diversification.

RVL Group's second Partenavia P68 survey aircraft, G-BHBZ, today entered into commercial service.

Acquired by RVL Group a year ago with its sister ship G-BFBU, the aircraft has since been undergoing extensive maintenance and modification work which was successfully completed this week with a test flight and issue of certification for return to flying service.

The aircraft has a busy summer ahead of it flying for Blom Aerofilms both in the UK and in Europe. Plans are already well advanced to send the aircraft to Norway and Finland on high resolution photography work. This will be the 4th RVL Group aircraft flying for Blom this year, who will themselves be relocating into RVL Group's new East Midlands Airport complex at the end of their busy summer season.
